Gardeners Calendar

A gathering place for vegetable gardeners & allotmenteers

I want to plant from fruit trees on my allotment. I don't really want a massive crop of any type but I'd prefer really tasty varieties from the following;

plums
apples
pears
green gages
figs

Will somebody please point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Dereck

Try cordons of leg trees (http://www.blackmoor.co.uk) I'd recommend easy to grow ones like apples pears plums. Have got some myself & they don't take a lot of room. Not had them long enough to comment on the fruiting. Figs need to be planted in a container as otherwise they grow very big.
